El relato de Barba Azul atraviesa toda la historia europea como uno de los relatos que ha permanecido en el imaginario de generaciones de jóvenes. Tanto el cuento de Perrault como la historia de Maeterlink nos hablan, en el fondo, de la búsqueda de la libertad que tanto desean los más pequeños. La música de Dukas, Bartók y Offenbach son la puerta hacia mundos sonoros muy diversos y llenos de color.
