Lirio, una niña de once años, se ve inmersa por error en una importantísima misión: recuperar las canciones tristes de toda la Humanidad y así poder recordar la canción que le cantaba su madre. La alegría de todos depende de esta misión, pues sin expresar la tristeza no podemos alcanzar la felicidad. En este viaje mágico por los reinos de la memoria y del olvido, Lirio se enfrentará a personajes y situaciones que le harán superar el duelo de la pérdida y recuperar la alegría.
